Skibbereen boasts of a wonderful Heritage Centre which features the Lough Hyne Visitor Centre and the Great Famine Commeration Exhibition and the 1901 census of Skibbereen. Fishing  villages of Glandore ,Unoin Hall, Castletownshend, Schull, Baltimore, Tragumna (beach) are all less than 15mins drive away. Dolphin and whale watching are a great attraction and trips can be arranged.

If you like activity holidays then the area boasts excellent angling, golfing and walking. Pitch and putt and a sports centre are also available in this area.
